Cream Calendar Land of Talk Tonight at Exit/In

If you don't know Land of Talk, but the name sounds familiar, that might be because LoT opened for Broken Social Scene at the Cannery a little over a year ago. If you don't know Land of Talk, but the name Elizabeth Powell sounds familiar, that might be because she sang with BSS on that tour, along with playing in and doing merch for her own band--which put a lot of strain on her voice: "I completely just devastated my vocal chords--like, gone. So after losing her voice and having to learn how to sing all over again, Powell is back from Montreal with Land of Talk for a show tonight at Exit/In. Get there early and be Caressed by the sounds of Korean Is Asian and shot through the heart by Bows and Arrows. Show starts at 9 p.m.
