You're doing 8-bit chiptune and you call yourself lo-fi? Maybe you should check out Tristan Perich and Lesley Flanigan tonight at Zeitgeist for an object lesson in elemental blip:

Lesley will perform Amplifications, new original work for voice with handcrafted speaker instruments and Tristan performs his Dual Synthesis for custom 1-bit electronics with harpsichord. They've been performing at a variety of places including art galleries, theaters, and experimental venues. They will be joined for the Atlanta and Nashville performances by Austin based Travis Weller who is crafting his own string instruments.

That's right, dude: 1-bit. Anyway, tonight's show should be of interest to anyone who checked out Buzz & Click over the weekend. (In fact, I talked to someone who said that putting on such a show in art galleries might not be a bad idea.) Perhaps a bit more academic, but glitchy and cool. Go to Perich's website and give a listen to "qsqsqsqsqqqqqqqqq," which sounds kind of like a cross between a French Paddleboat album played at triple speed and a malfunctioning slot machine that's discovered how to feel joy.

Zeitgeist is located at 1819 21st Ave. South. Reception at 6:30 p.m., performance at 7 p.m., $5 suggested donation.
