Let's Get Instrumental: William Tyler's Paper Hats & More, Tonight at Little Hamilton

Posted by D Patrick Rodgers on Mon, Nov 23, 2009 at 11:25 AM

The Paper Hats performing last month in Germany.

Got any plans tonight? No? Wanna see some introspective instrumental music that is definitely "more on the 'out there' tip"? We've got just the thing for you. Tonight at Little Hamilton, fleet-fingered guitarist William Tyler--known for his work with Lambchop, Silver Jews and Tim Chad and Sherry--will be playing some of his solo material as The Paper Hats. Also present will be fellow instrumentalists Ben Reynolds (from Glasgow), Mike Tamburo (from Pittsburgh) and Keenan Lawler (from Louisville). These guys are prepared to make you feel things without uttering so much as a single lyric. I hope you can handle that. Five dollars American will grant you access.

the handful of people that were at this event witnessed something truly rare and extraordinary. Thanks Willy T for curating this very special night of music.
