We know that Thanksgiving is next week, but we're celebrating early for a couple of reasons: A) Bloggers have families too. Contrary to popular belief, we're not engineered in a lab, designed only to hate on active rock bands, so we're taking Thanksgiving off. And B) we wanted to put Gold in a turkey suit. A noble excuse, indeed. Here are your options for tonight:

Mountain Goats w/Final Fantasy & Larkin Grimm at Mercy Lounge. If you snoozed on tickets, you're out of luck--it's sold out. Lee Stabert says the latest record is "familiar territory" in this week's dead tree edition, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Imogen Heap w/Tim Exile & Back Ted N-Ted at Exit/In. We hear that this show's gonna be a big one, but all we know about Imogen Heap is contained in this Saturday Night Live sketch.

Devil Eyes w/Bad Cop, Mother Whale Eyeless, CY, The Cannomen, Deluxin & Spanish Candles at Little Hamilton. The kids over at Nashville's Dead say this show is free.

Born Empty w/Parachute Musical at 12th & Porter.

BFF feat. Make-Up & Vanity Set, Burgers & Fan Fiction at Mad Donna's. It's local photographer/Tiger con Queso Steve Cross's birthday today, listen to him spin some tunes as his alter-ego DJ Burgers on the east side.

Will Holland w/Tallest Trees & Mean Tambourines at The Basement.

Tonight's a good night for shows, even if you don't want to drop some cash on the pricier bands at Mercy and Exit/In. Let us know if we missed anything, otherwise, check the listings for more.
