Cream operatives reported this morning that after her performance last night at 12th & Porter (opening for Mickey Avalon), pop singer and perhaps soon-to-be-overexposed blonde Kesha had tapped Justin Kase for her touring band. Kase confirms via email that he's in Chicago and will be heading into rehearsal later today in preparation for tonight's show. Guess this means Nashville's bloggingest blog house DJ will be on the road for a while, and we might have to wait a bit longer for more Fitout. You may know Kesha as the female voice in Flo Rida's classy-ass song "Right Round," or as the girl who threw up in Paris Hilton's house or whatever. (She lived in the Nashville area for a time and may or may not have gotten tangled up with a Cream blogger-to-be. Tevs.) But you probably know her best for feeling like Diddy:
She's also in the video for that Katy Perry song about Katy Perry doing things she's not used to doing, but let's not go there. So yeah. Ke$ha and Ka$e, takin' over the world, starting today.

Justin Kase is righteous. Ke$ha is pure shit.
If you listen to whiny girl paddycake dirtydisco, listen to UFFIE not the watered down Brentwood attempt.

i was very skeptical going into the Ke$ha show. i wouldn't have even considered going except we're friends and i wanted to check it out. surprisingly, it was far less cringe-worthy than i expected and i was pretty damn entertained. kind of curious to hear her record now.
Yeah, it's derivative, but aren't Uffie and Peaches just whiter, dirtier, diluted combos of JJFad and ESG? Sounds like someone just snatched up those ideas and made them marketable.

Ke$ha is much better and cooler than that flop shit Uffie tyvm.
And Casio were you at yesterdays show? Did you take any pics or get any media? Thx in advance!

yeah, each iteration is a fuzzier facsimile of an original that actually had some flavor and grit to it. It all smacks of hyper-marketing too, which is fine, but some of that scene (not Ke$ha, I'm afraid) is marketed in a way that's infinitely less transparent. I'm cool w/ being swindled by marketing, but in 2009 you really gotta fucking work it smarter not harder.
Bottom line is Ke$ha's album production sounds like a Disney corporation's focus-tested runoff compared to the fine folks who produced Uffie (Feadz, Mr.Oizo) just for example.
*light bulb*... Kase needs to produce Ke$ha's recordings. Problem solved?
