Tomorrow night, you can witness glam-rock history by seeing two acts play without their most recognizable members. That's right, tomorrow night at Wildhorse Saloon you can see Sebastian Bach-less Skid Row and Tracii Guns-less L.A. Guns. What would that mean for fans of "The Ballad of Jayne"? Well, you'll still get the singer and drummer from the band's "classic lineup"--meaning when they had hits such as the aforementioned. What would it mean for fans of "Youth Gone Wild" and "18 and Life"? It would mean this:
Oh, how the old skating rink would riot. Seriously, though, what the fuck else does Sebastian Bach have that's better to do? New episode of Supergroup? Guest appearance on Gilmore Girls? New opportunities as John Rich's evil sidekick?
Oh hey, did you know Tracii Guns was an original member of Guns N' Roses with Axl Rose? You know who replaced hiim on lead guitar after he split to work on L.A. Guns? (It rhymes with "Slash." They got signed by Geffen shortly after.) You know Tracii Guns also played with Johnny Thunders and W.A.S.P. and even Motorhead one minute and was in a version of Faster Pussycat the next. He was in a band with Nikki Sixx as well for a hot sec, and all you need to know is that it wasn't Motley Crue. And, he jammed with Quiet Riot. So Tracii Guns is kinda like some crazy MVP/Dave Mustaine of glam metal, except people still like Megadeth.
Did you know there are two different fucking versions of LA Guns on tour today using the same name? Ostensibly, the only real one is the one with Tracii Guns, since he founded the band and all, and yet, the one playing Wildhorse tomorrow night--sans Tracii Guns--calls itself "the real L.A. Guns." Good to know those Sunset Strip roustabouts still know how to slum it right.

hmm.. is it me, or are those crudely drawn columns of testicles dangling from the Skid Row logo in the background?
