Creamtastic / National Skyline Paramore Defeat Green Day, Advance in Fuse Top 40 Video Contest Thingy

Fuse is having an online competition to determine their Top 40 videos of 2009--though having a poll determine your Top 40 video countdown kinda takes the suspense (i.e., the reason for watching) out of your Top 40 video countdown, doesn't it?
I'm a sucker for brackets, so contests like this usually interest me, even if I don't want them to. The reason for this post: Paramore (last Nashville venue: The Ryman) have made it to the elite eight by pulling off quite the upset over Green Day (last Nashville venue: Sommet Center) by a margin of over 1,000,000 votes. (!) In other words, Paramore's margin of victory was approximately four times the total number of votes Kings of Leon garnered in their first round loss to Rise Against. And right now they're totally on their way to kicking Linkin Park's ass. In fact, Paramore and "Ignorance" have about four times as many votes right now as all seven other contenders combined. Go Nashville!
While P-Mo is certainly turning out the vote, I have to wonder about the average ballot caster here. I mean, I'm not saying Metallica is the most relevant band anymore, but they lost to...Papa Roach? Really? And Lady Gaga over Kelly Clarkson? Tevs. Another question: Who the hell watches Fuse? Anyone?

No One Actually Watches Or Even Know Who The Hell Fuse Is...Actually This Is The First Time I Ever Heard Of It, Anyway, In This Video Thingy You Can Vote As Much As You Want, So Yeah Probably Paramore Won It Because They Have A Billion Little (Kids) Fans Who Just Love Them Because Of Twilight And They're Ready To Vote For Them For A Whole Year!!! I'm Not Saying They're Bad, But They're Not Good Too, I Mean Green Day Is MUCH MUCH MUCH Better...And Another Reason That This Competition Is Shit; Metallica Lose To Papa Roach?????!!!!!! Metallica Is The Fucking Most Amazing Band On Earth, But They Lost Because Well, Papa Roach Has a Lot Of Young Fans Who Thinks That Metallica Is Way Too Old Because They Don't Fucking Know What Real Music Is (No Offence To Papa Roach & Their Fans) & Also Kelly Clarkson Is Way Better Than Lady GaGa (Who Sings Whatever The Shity Pop Is) I'm Saying My Opinion And I Do What I Want So I Don't Fucking Care If Anyone Won't Agree With Me.

Green Day fans votes weren't getting through. It was only letting about one or two votes to go through in one minute of time. Also, they stopped the voting 3 hours early. Fuse should have noticed that there was a problem and stoped the contest.
Right now there is really no point to continue this contest. We all know who will win. I hope the people that are still voting for other bands don't continue to wast their time.
I watch Fuse. I have for a while, they actually play music in their shows. (Distortion, Loaded, etc) I know I voted like crazy for this match. The Paramore fans worked really hard, they deserved this victory. So go Nashville indeed.
It is not really a victory if they won because of a error in the system. That is really nothing to be proud of.
i watch fuse. its like a cooler version of vh1 adn mtv and since im figuring the biggest base of voters is teenagers its not that surprising that some newer bands won over some of the classics (eg papa roach vs metallica) and you know waht ppls i like pretty much all music so idk why theres such a fraking uproar abou tladay gaga and paramore winning. btw paramore won becuse there music is good not because of twilight so yeah get a freaking clue and chill the hell out
