Hey, remember when we told you about how bitchin' that bitchin' John Fogerty show at the Mercy Lounge was back in September? You were consumed with jealousy over having missed it, and the fact that you made it through reading about the show without self-inflicting a gunshot wound was a testament to your ability to overcome adversity. Well good news for you as Fogerty returns to Nashville to play the Ryman on Nov. 22, and I know just how you can win yourself some free tickets.
NPT--who are broadcasting a Fogerty episode of Live by Request this Saturday at 8 p.m.--are giving away two pairs of tickets to the Ryman show. It'll take some work on your part though. NPT is giving the tickets away via a lyric contest: what you've gotta do is write your own four line verse to CCR classic "Lodi" that has a Nashville theme to it. The stanza must end with the line, "Oh Lord, stuck in Nashville again." Send submissions to tv8 [at] wnpt [dot] net with the subject line "Stuck in Nashville." For all you aspiring lyricists out there, here is your chance to showcase your skills. Feel free to post your entries in the comments.

My lyrics will be about the "BRO"romance me and Gold will share at Springsteen in 2 weeks!
"Remember all the movies 'Adam,' that we'd go and see...trying to learn how to walk like the heroes, we thought we had to be."
(okay...it's already taken.)
Thanks for posting this Adam. We didn't state this too clearly on our website, so just to clarify, you basically have to write a new verse to the song, which is really six lines and not four. But from the entries we've received, I gather people figured that out. Thanks!
