Looks like Justin Kase has some new tricks up his sleeve. He's got a new project/handle called Fitout, which, in addition to eschewing MySpace altogether, makes its debut with a tight remix of the Little Boots track "Earthquake." (Original here.) Lots of people have used pitch-shifted vocals, but the Fitout re-working certainly recalls Karen Dreijer Anderson's work with The Knife and Fever Ray (swoon). And that's a good thing, for sure--the effect adds a nice, slightly spooky layer to the song, and the oscillating drones are a nice touch, too. Looking forward to more, which Kase says will be forthcoming. Check out the remix over at the Fitout Bandcamp page.
