Music for you to download on a Tuesday: * American Songwriter asked the bands of Holly House to record the song they would want to hear when they die, for their "Gear to Die For" series. No one chose "South of Heaven" and I am disappointed, obviously, but not entirely surprised. Softies. ("Before you see the light, you must diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie!!!!!!") Anyhoo, download away at Holly House. (Warning: D. Patrick Rodgers and Adam Gold both pictured, possibly without pants.) * De Novo Dahl haven't gone anywhere, it isn't even past. Uh, yeah, DND have got three new songs to share with you in advance of their new record-album, which is set to come out some time in 2010 on Theory 8. They also open for the Non-Commissioned Officers tomorrow night at Mercy Lounge. Download here from their Bandcamp page. (Email address required.) * Former Scene intern turned New York music blogger V. "to the Izzay" Amoroso and his Stark Online have been chosen as Blogger of the Week by BreakThru Radio. That means a big ol' Yankee-flavored boner for Nashville music and a podcast full of music and talking about Nashville and stuff.
