Video: JEFF the Brotherhood, 'U Got the Look'

Posted by Steve Haruch on Fri, Oct 23, 2009 at 9:25 AM

Here's the hot new video from JEFF the Brotherhood, for "U Got the Look." It's directed by Brad Holland and has pretty lights, kicks, calf raises, raccoon tail, two third eyes, a reference to an 18th-century agriculturalist and no references to Roxette. The song's from Heavy Days, you know. [Infinity Cat]

As much as I usually don't dig these guys, I actually liked the song. The video, um....hmmm.

@ alum and Gold: I've been dying to find a reason to say "Feel, feel, feel my heeeeeeeat!" Thanks for that.
Any longer and the video might get on my nerves, but as it is, pretty sweet. Fist bump to Jeff!

awesome. wish I was in Brooklyn this weekend for my fave bros...
"One of the many, many highlight's of yesterday's Brooklyn Vegan day party at Piano's was JEFF the Brotherhood who put on an absolutely kick-ass closing set. Tonight, they've put together a showcase for their label, Infinity Cat, featuring a slew of Nashville bands: Heavy Cream, Natural Child, Denney & the Jets, Daniel Pujol, as well as Brooklyn's Sisters. And, of course, JEFF, who you should really try and see this weekend at some point." (Brooklyn Vegan)
uh-huh.

I gotta admit, I've been a bit of a hater, but after seeing them at the Monotonix show and seeing this, I'm giving up. These guys ain't bad.

When I saw 'U Got the Look', my first thought was Sheena and Prince. But this is a pretty cool song, kinda QOTSA meets Foos mixed with some indie stuff I never heard.

When I saw NashvilleRock.net's comment about how he didn't like Jeff the Brotherhood, I wondered how anyone who is into Nashville and Rock could dislike them. Then I went to his website and realized that it's because he's old. He'd probably be upset with me for saying "lol". lol

OK, I just checked it out and apparently it's a KISS fansite. Totally over the top! Loved it.
What's funny is I went to see KISS for the first time last night and they were funny and loud and I had fun.
But they sing songs about how Rock they are, and they are! (circa 1980's) but Jeff is Rock circa now.
I think you can like both and don't have to hate either, no matter how old you are. (or young)
