Good News, Bad News: Bon Jovi Coming to Sommet Center, Not Def Leppard

Posted by Steve Haruch on Thu, Oct 22, 2009 at 1:25 PM

If you haven't heard by now, Def Leppard canceled their Oct. 24 show at the Sommet Center, which was going to be part of the, uh, "third leg" of their tour that was supposed to start today. (The whole tour was canceled, not just the Nashville date.) That means no Cheap Trick, either! Refunds are available at the point of purchase. But fear not, fret not, fans of stretch pants, bandanas and voluminous hair on men--motherfucking BON JOVI are coming to Nashville to lay their hands on you with their bad medicine, give love a bad name and generally live on a prayer Apr. 21, 2010.

We are told to keep our eye on the band's website for ticket info, but I still use AOL and the site won't load the newest batch of tour dates don't seem to be up yet as of this afternoon. Since this show is more than five months off, that should be plenty of time to grow your hair back out, grab some reissue L.A. Gear high-tops and find a sweet-ass IROC Camaro with only 45,000 miles on craigslist. Party on, Garth!

Tickets went up from $85 per seat three years ago to $125 a seat the last time Nashville was graced with Mr. Bon Jovi.
Given the recession, I'd hope they scale ticket prices down to under a Benjamin, but lets be honest, they haven't put out a decent record since KISS had the #1 song in the land. I'm guessing the 2010 tour will be $145 per seat (not counting TicketMaster fees).

Bon Jovi! I missed their last concert debating on buying tickets or not. I think I'm willing to shell out the cash this time around...
