It's Track or Treat time in the local regions of the blogosphere, and several Nashvillian music-makers and -supporters have prepared some sonic goodies for us to stuff in our eager, gaping craws. Feast upon the following.
* New New Wavers Zut Alors have a track called "Set the Sun on Fire" available for free download on their Bandcamp profile. Dig that sticky, fuzzy bass riff.
* King o' the Webz Michael Eades has compiled yet another of his Halloween mixes. This one's known as Dark Despair (Undead Trespass), and it features spookily composed tunes from locals including Bows and Arrows, The Non-Coms, Shaboi and Slowmotions as well as non-locals Deerhunter, Menomena, Black Moth Super Rainbow and more.
* AutoVaughn has a promotion going on via Fender's website in which they "are in the midst of releasing 4 FREE songs from [their] upcoming studio album Rise. Download your free jamz (with a z) exclusively @ Fender.com."
* Max and the Wild Things have a single they'd like you to hear. It's called "Rocketship GO," and it's from their forthcoming The Grass Is Always Greener.
If you know of more enticing aural delectables from local purveyors of sound, please share them in the comments or email us at cream[at]nashvillescene[dot]com.
