Creamtastic / Hot Goss Best of Nashville 2009: Music

This year's Best of Nashville issue is upon us, and it weighs about four pounds. Turn to page 66 and you'll find our picks for the best in music. Latin-Electro-Popster Mia Calderon leads off the section, which covers everything from Bonnaroo to Your Mom's Favorite Mixtape. Then there's also the Readers' Poll, which is exactly what it sounds like.
I'm not at all surprised that Jack White captured readers' hearts and clicks for Best Local Music Celebrity, considering that at last night's Best of Nashville after party I overheard a guy say, in a way that did not seem the least bit ironic, "I would go gay for Jack White." And this within earshot of at least two Followills!
Sometimes there's consensus--The Features were both a readers' pick for Best Local Band and a critic's choice for Best Curated Move Back Into the Major-Label Fold. And sometimes folks don't seem to understand the question, exactly.
