the last time I saw those two bands they were on the same bill at the Mercy. guess we'll have to run back and forth across the street to catch em both. sweeeeeet.
As if "ex-Wings/Moody Blues axeman Denny Lane sitting in with a reunited Jets" weren't enough, we get an extra dose of JtB! These are heavy days alright.

not really a secret. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_hOo7IAm7cJg/Ssp0wTDbv1I/AAAAAAAAAp0/7m1aReOiUTY/s1600-h/nbn.jpg
I can't wait to catch Kings of Leon tonight close out the show! I think I heard their new single on Lightning 100 today when I was driving around in my dad's BMW. The chorus was "Sunday, Bloody Sunday!" and it makes me want to dance my khaki shorts and flip flops right off.
The infinity cat show was the best show last year AND the year before and a whole bunch of us are getting ready to get our End on. Best rock club in town too. Heavy Cream is too much fun.
infinity cat show was fun. Every band ruled.
... went and watched two songs by jemina, she was completely awful. and of course she talked about how it was torture to be here. just don't come back babeeeeeeeeee.
I liked Jemina's set...and new band. Way more interesting musically than BYOP. Also pretty sure I heard the girl say "I really do love Nashville." What I would call "completely awful" would be the scheduling. Her set divided some of the crowd across the street. Dunno if that's the fest's fault or what but... maybe over estimating? All in all, a very fun night on Elliston!
Jumped across Elliston to catch some of Jemina's set and what I saw was great, not as intense as byop, but pretty damn cool.. Actually wish she'd been on the bill across the street, which would have made Inf Cat's amazing night even more amazing. If that was possible, cuz it was already best night at NBN!
infinity cat showcase seemed great and a lot of fun though, to be honest, it was like most of those bands shows together... same bands, same people... could have had no affiliation with NBN at all and would have been exactly the same turnout... which says a lot about the fans of and is great for infinity cat to have.
on the other hand, i do believe it was a pretty lame booking to have jemina across the street at the same time... what could have been an honest attempt to get all the kids in one area that would want both shows, it really did divide the audience and not in a good way. jemina and the band were a lot better than i expected them to be and the only real bad part of her set was what seemed to be a completely incompetent sound man who had even less interest in fixing the lead singer's mic going out than being a rude asshole to the band when they'd ask for more in their monitors... it's a service industry, buddy, if you're pissed that you're not doing more than mixing the show, maybe you should go find another job... actually, please find another job, for all the bands' sakes.
infinity cat's show was the best of the festival by far.
Well said Jeremy (Battletapes rocks). Lots of people are fans of both, in fact, at my last NBN infinity cat show (at The End) I remember Jemina was front and center in the moshing mess for...JEFF The Brotherhood.
Whoever was responsible for these shows "competing" for an audience missed the mark. Maybe they were looking to stir up some controversy, but it seems to me like all these kids support each other. Like it should be.
