Harmony Korine Discusses Trash Humpers and Chris Crofton's Sordid Past

Posted by on Wed, Oct 7, 2009 at 11:28 AM

Remember when we told you about Trash Humpers? It's the latest bit of cinema from avant-gardian Harmony Korine, and--in addition to some freaky shit--it features performances and appearances from all sorts of Nashvillians. Well Korine screened Trash Humpers at the New York Film Festival not long ago, and as you'll see above, he has some interesting things to say about the background of a "local eccentric...who's known for telling jokes with no punch lines" by the name of Chris Crofton. Crofton, according to Korine, was apparently kicked off of his radio program for getting in some sort of physical altercation with the station manager...or for burning the station down...or something. A healthy bit of mystique certainly never hurt any actor/comedian's career, as far as I know.
