Rock 'n' Roll Homework: Heypenny Wants Your Participation

Posted by on Tue, Oct 6, 2009 at 3:15 PM

It should be blatantly apparent by now that Heypenny are nonstop hustlers. I must tip my hat to the energetic and fervent crew for constantly pouring everything they've got into their performances, costumes, props, events and various live tactics. Whether or not you're a fan, they work their little indie-pop asses off--as you might glean from this behind-the-scenes video of Heypenny's EP release a few weeks back.

And now, as they headline Saturday night's Next Big Nashville showcase at Mercy Lounge--The Protomen, Kyle Andrews and more open--they'd like to have the "thousand people" in attendance help them out with some audience participation. OK, so dude's a bit off in his estimation of how many people can fit in Mercy. But they've certainly got ideas big enough to fill the place, and they'd like you to sing along. And stomp. And clap. And sing again.
