If you've been to a house show in town that was relatively civil and actually featured some rather renowned bands, there's about a 50 percent chance it was at William Tyler's place. Apparently, the Silver Jew/Cortney Tidwellian/Tim Chad and Sherryite/Hands Off Cuban/Lambchopper is about to move out of that classy abode of his, and he's pitching a leviathan of a soiree to commemorate his relocation. Whispers tell me the festivities will commence around 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, and bands will include Lambchop, JEFF the Brotherhood, Tim Chad & Sherry, Caitlin Rose and many more. As per our usual blog etiquette, homie ain't about to tell you Willy T's home address. But I have confidence that if you want to be there sorely enough, you'll be able to figure it out one way or another. Hey, just do what I do: Totally forget the address on the day of the show, then text message a member of the Tyler family like, "Uh, what's that street again?" It's not annoying of me at all. Honest.
