Innocuous sibling duo and inventors of the genre Forosoco--that's an amalgam of folk, rock, soul and country for those keeping track--will be making their Grand Ole Opry debut tonight alongside the Bellamys. From Fox 17 News:
The Bacons -- Golden Globe-nominated Kevin and Emmy-winner Michael -- sing on the record with the Bellamys. The Opry said in a news release Monday that the appearance will mark the first public performance of the Bacons and the Bellamys together.
The Bacon Brothers join the list of award-winning television and film performers who have debuted on the Opry in the past year. Others include Academy Award-winner Kevin Costner, Golden Globe nominee Jack Black and Emmy-winner Steve Martin.
More actors getting their country music on. But before you say to yourself, "Watching the Bacons get footloose sounds like six degrees of awful," just remember two things: Unlike Billy Bob Thornton, they aren't total dicks; and unlike Kevin Costner, they aren't Kevin Fucking Costner. You might just still have time to get tickets.
