What Nashville band is having their songs remixed by Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, Mark Ronson, Kenna, Linkin Park (!) and Lykke Li? I guess this isn't a blind item, so you already know. Still. Lykke Li? "It's amazing to hear your song played by these people who are so creative," says he of the tins and skins, Nathan Followill. Must be.
The brothers F are also releasing a live DVD this fall, which was filmed--where else?--in England, land of superior musical taste.
Unlike a certain other band that isn't putting out albums anymore, the Kings of Leon are working on a new long player. "I call it 'Aha Shake...' but by guys that are a little grown-up and a little better at their instruments," says the drummer Followill. "There's stuff that sounds like Radiohead. There's stuff that sounds like Thin Lizzy. There's stuff that sounds like The Band." Maybe Radiohead will deny influencing them? I kid, eh?
Oh, and Caleb was chosen to be a guest judge on Iron Chef, because his brother is too much of a drunkard to make it through an entire meal sober. (He said it, not me.)

KOL a pass until we see how this Features business pans out.
nashville scene articles about KoL always bring the lolz. jealous much?
Absolutely not jealous- but give me a break- The guys are 'getting better at their instruments'?! What is this, fuckin band camp? Blatant souless mediocrity and if you like it that's perfectly ok (hey I like Wesley Willis) but there are dozens of more deserving bands who can really play their instruments and aren't obviously a boy band with guitars.
If you want a burrito, you can have another bite of mine
Def not a boy band. They dont exchange weak lyrics and dance around for attention. They are a rock band and every rock band gets better with "their instruments" over time. Wth band camp? u cant be serious.. Have u even heard the album in which the drummer was referring to. It was genius.
There seems to be a lot of remixes of Kings of Leon's songs going around at the moment. Have a look at this one - it's by a British act called 'Party Dark'. scroll down to the third video - http://www.partydark.co.uk/video/ What you make of it?
