Apparently Thursdays are Fast Food Days here at the office. Last week it was the filming of a Captain D's commercial with rogue seagulls, and this week it was Hardee's giving out free burgers via four young ladies dressed as French maids—the sort of French maids who are dressed in a manner that makes you think they probably don't do a whole lot of cleaning. This was all spurred on by Tracy's Bites post about the gratuitously libidinous nature of a Hardee's commercial, so I suppose we technically have Tracy to thank for the photograph at left. Friday night shows:
The Non-Commissioned Officers w/Heypenny & Cortney Tidwell at Exit/In. Cortney & Co. will be playing first, so make sure to arrive in time to hear some of her new material.
The Nobility's Gentle Giant Single Release at The Basement feat. Jason Johnson, Jug Huggers & The Shills. "Gentle Giant" is the one with those controversial handclaps.
Hunteroo '09 feat. Les Honky More Tonkies, Mike Younger and the Marksmen & more at Mercy Lounge. This is the one Jack told us all about.
Timbre w/Sunshine Brothers & Canon Blue at The 5 Spot.
The Wrong Kids w/Brandi Haile, The Invisible Kids, The Aquariums & DJ Tyrannosaurus Copter at Springwater.
Nathan Angelo w/Rob Blackledge at 3rd & Lindsley.
Quote w/Andrew Combs, Caleb Stine & Galen Kipar at The End.
Bastards w/Fragments of God & Beg Me Op at Little Hamilton.
There's also a "free, all-ages, more fun dance party...Aimed for the queer/gay community of Nashville [but] open for anyone and everyone." It's called Pansy Dance, and it's 8-11 p.m. in Centennial Park with Kid Chicago spinning tunes. Here's the rest. Please share with us anything we missed.
