Fraternal favorites JEFF the Brotherhood are out on the road off and on through November, showing the nation that The White Stripes aren't the only two-piece residing in Middle Tennessee. Their current itinerary sees them going up and down both coasts and in-between with strings of dates opening for Shonen Knife and Ted Leo. They will be appearing with Israeli firestarters Monotonix at Exit/In on Oct. 17--a show that promises to be a cardiovascular romp to say the least. The band's upcoming full-length Heavy Days is set to drop Oct. 13 on Infinity Cat. See the track list and tour dates after the jump.

I bet those dates with Ty Segall are going to be awesome. What a good match.
they deserve good things as much as anyone. those guys work their asses off nonstop. good for them.
Turbo Fruits are touring with Monotonix at that time and will also be on the Exit/In bill
this will be s monumental show. no folded arms standing ten feet from the stage. there's gonna be some fun had.
Monotonix = Yay! Yay!
JTB = Yay! Yay! Yay!
Turbo Fruits = Yay! Yay!
yeah no one cares.
that's why all three of these bands are touring all over the U.S. while your band can't draw a crowd here in your own hometown.
please.
you know who else tours ?
Dave Matthews Band.
get over it.
JEFF is nashville only, critic bloated, pure shit.
JEFF is nashville only (no, not according to the tour listed above, looks like they're U.S. and Canada only, for now),
critic bloated (yup, and only getting more bloated by the day, because now it's critics all over the country raving about them),
pure shit (apparently you don't like them. it's cool if you're more into Taylor Swift or something, but don't be a rock hater)
please.
critics all over the country ?
nashville cream quotes reposted on a few blog spin offs dont count.
and do you really think taylor swift is my favorite artist if i read this blog ?
are you in the band or something ?
please
Hey dickweed (that's you, "please"):
First off, have you ever even seen JtB?
I have, but only at all ages shows because (for you, Hearn) I am NOT over 16!
I'm a girl. There are two guys in the band. Two. Guys.
Do you even know that?
I am a huge fan so I keep up with reviews and you obviously don't.
Here's one from Portland, OR. Is that far away enough for you?
"Just as rumors about an October garage festival here in Portland, featuring just about every band I love, have kicked me off on a serious fuzzbox bender, along come Jeff The Brotherhood, pumping out catchy lo-fi rock n' roll. Like the Japandroids, this two man band includes plenty of psychedelic-tinged and fuzzed-out jamming, "Heavy Krishna" being a stellar example. The real standouts, however, are the title track, with its clipped punk vocals and sweet classic rock riffs, and "Bone Jam" with it's bashing drums and surf oooh-uh-oooh's. Overall, the songs are simple, the lyrics indiscernible, and the guitar distorted and awesome."

really, please.
ashley.
i'm 22.
yes i've seen them. i went because this fucking blog wouldn't stop talking about them. i saw them at the end, because that's all the people they could half fill in a club, IN their hometown. they sounded like an indie band covering an indie band's cover. but they looked cool and have some friends. so it made sense to me.
nice blog and link by the way. i think we were the only 2 people that visited that site today.
These guys are getting some serious blog love though. It's The Supersound reviewed them today:
"About halfway through "Bone Jam," under inches of geeky fuzz, Jake Orall asks, "How much money can we spend?" Obviously not much. His band is the definition of conservative spending: two members (that are brothers), two instruments, some charmingly cheap recordings–basically Jeff The Brotherhood is the opposite of Dream Theater. They jam econo. They sound like they were teleported from a time when Rivers Cuomo still wrote songs we adored and our biggest concern in life was whether or not we'd get invited to a party before we were in college. They have a new LP called Heavy Days due in October through Infinity Cat. And judging from the above photo, they are pretty nice guys."
Frankly, I think they deserve it. Only seen them once, but they impressed me lots. It's just more love for Nashville rock, too.
