The Features at Lake Fever

Posted by D Patrick Rodgers on Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 10:45 AM

Prepare to be dazzled by The Features--or "The Best Band On The Planet," as Lake Fever honcho Joe Colvert calls them. Their sesh just went up over at the Lake Fever site, and it features stirring renditons of "Whatever Gets You By/Drawing Board" (seen above), "Baby's Hammer" and "All I Ask." The Features also performed a gang vocal-bolstered version of the ever-popular "Thursday" that sounded remarkable--I know; I was there--and you'll be able to view that in a "companion video" the Fever Family plans on releasing Octoberish. And if this Features Fever Session gives you Features fever, remember that a certain local blog has a certain anniversary party coming up in just 12 days, and a certain awesome local band will be playing it. Not to be purposefully cryptic or anything.

Not to stir the pot or anything but the "Fever Family" wanted to release Thursday right out of the gate... the delayed release will probably end up being a good bit of promotion for new comers to the band but sucks to wait that long. Particularly given that it will just get buried in the archive.

False. It won't get buried, people will know about it. Stop trying to cause trouble. It's only Monday.
Great job by Jason, John, Joe & The Tugboat fellas, yet again.

Hardest working band in Tennessee. They tour their asses off, and are very active in supporting local music by going out to shows all the time.
