I know what you're thinking: How on earth did B.B. King's Restaurant & Blues Club ever manage to book B.B. King? The 83-year-old blues legend played The Ryman as recently as last Feb. and apparently shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. He'll bust out Lucille for real at the club of which he is the namesake on Sept. 28 & 29.
This uniquely meta experience comes at a price, as tickets range from $30-$200--$30 gets you seats in a separate room where you watch him wail on a big screen while $200 puts you into pentatonic euphoria from a distance close enough to smell him perspire. Hopefully that won't kill your appetite because dinner is included in the price of admission. For tickets call the club directly at 615-256-2727. For other info visit their site here.
After shelling out $360 in traffic violation fees this morning it's safe to say now even I have the blues. This show would be the perfect antidote but I can't afford it as I just watched $360 vanish into thin air and am now destitute. Fuck.
