Wow Session From Beyond the Grave: De Novo Dahl at Ardent

Given the fact that 60 percent of the folks in that video are no longer in the band, our powers of deduction tell us that it was shot several months ago. However, the session was posted on Ardent's site just yesterday by a web author who goes by the name of Rachelandthecity--you might remember her from her tiff with the Next Big Nashville fellas back in '07. De Novo Dahl allegedly still has plans to produce new material, but for now frontman Joel J. Dahl is performing solo. Maybe you caught his set last night at Steve Cross' bitchin' 8 off 8th.
I'll be honest: Keyboardist Matt Hungate's earnest, gleeful dancing makes me just slightly uncomfortable (not to be a spoilsport). But, you know, that's likely part of the "fanciful charm" of which Rachelinthecity speaks in her lead-in to the session. Visit the site for photos and the full, near-hourlong session in MP3 format.
