Moving Pictures / National Skyline Kings of Leon on Today: Bigger Than Jonas Brothers

Kings of Leon were on the Today show Friday, and drew a gigantic crowd, prompting over 20,000 ticket requests, which happens to be the largest number in the history of the show's concert series--even more than the Jonas Brothers. (!)
In this clip, the band gets interviewed by Meredith Viera, who asks, among other things, why the boys decided to start a band, since they didn't, y'know, play instruments. (Nathan played in church, and Matthew played guitar growin' up.) Will KOL be the next U2? "Better than U2!" the audience replies. (!)
You may notice that Caleb has a red Gibson 325 to replace the one he smashed. Hopefully, he'll be more careful with this one.

What if people hear them and think this is what music is supposed to sound like?
Then they will have completed their mission and can finally return to the great planet Zork.
Not to throw fuel on the fire; but wouldn't Beethoven disagree with Robert Smith or Iggy Pop or John Lennon on what "music is supposed to sound like?"
Even if he did, wouldn't he also be similarly misspoken?
No disrespect, but music should sound like itself. There's room for all me buckos--you know, both kinds: country and western.

This band is just LAME!!!!!!!This is the Backstreet boys for twenty-somethings,the only difference is the backstreet boys actually had some talent,they could dance at least!
Be happy, a nashville band is the biggest selling rock act around! That could mean good things for the other folks around town working hard to make music for a living, that is IF you could write a good pop song. Quit being jealous and get crackin.
It means shit anonymous cause every industry asshole knows that KOL AREN'T REALLY FROM NASHVILLE!!! They were put together by Angelo. He wrote all the songs on the first album. All that will come from this is labels wanting their rock acts to work with Angelo. The only thing good KOL has done is made friends with the Features and supported them. That forgives them for their sins... for now.
You people are fucking ridiculous! This IS the greatest band we've had the pleasure of hearing in quite some time. Can't you be happy for them...listen to their music?! It doesn't compare to any other music in the world - shame on you all. KINGS OF LEON are the greatest....the greatest!
Shame on you all! You are fucking crazy if you don't like Kings of Leon. Caleb's voice is like none other...the music and lyrics are so much better than ANYTHING else we've heard in a long time. Who cares about their image or where they are from?! It's about the music and these guys know how to make real good music. Backstreet boys for twenty somethings?!?...give me a fucking break!
