Matt Mahaffey, whom you may know from Self, will be DJing along with DJ Burgers (frequent Scene photographer and man about rock shows, Steve Cross) and DJ Busta Window (better known to some as the distracting Kelly Kerr). Here are further deets:
5% of the evenings bar sales will go to PPMET's volunteer program.This special one-night-only event will be used to raise funds for PPMET's Volunteer Program and area college and university student-run organizations known as "Vox: Voices for Planned Parenthood." Anyone who supports Planned Parenthood can join Vox as its members are a composite of young professionals and post-grads whose progressive values and volunteer spirit reflect the diversity of Tennessee.
Proceeds go to PPMET's volunteer program Vox, and not the clinics or other parts of Planned Parenthood.
That's Thursday at Mai (125 12th Ave. North), 10 p.m. (doors at 9), and free.
