Tickets are now on sale for Memphian rock & roll/punk/etc. festival, to be held September 24 through 26. Since we last blogged about it, there have been a few changes to the lineup: The Clean were scheduled to headline the show, but sadly, they have canceled their U.S. tour. Revered garage acts who will still be playing include Cheater Slicks, Compulsive Gamblers, and--hey, The Reatards! Along with this welcome reunion of Jay Reatard's first band, a bunch of other groups have been added to the schedule, most of which I'm not highly familiar with, including Thomas Function, White Wires and the amusingly named Tampoffs.
Passes to the whole deal are $50, you can also get tickets to individual events for various lower amounts of money, and Goner Records has arranged a deal whereby attendees can get rooms at the convenient Artisan Hotel for $65 a night.
Logistically, that's about all there is to say about this wonderful music festival that's going to change all of our lives. So in the comments section below, please share your thoughts on any of these bands you've heard/seen. And if you're a Nobunny fan, enjoy this rather not-safe-for-work episode of internet TV show The Creepy Touch, which sheds light on the mysterious jackalope-man's lifestyle:
