In addition to hosting the legendary (and I do not use that term lightly) Jesus Lizard next Tuesday, Exit/In has got some good stuff in the books.
First of all, Monotonix are coming back to town, and they will be on the Rock Block, probably with more visible hair than you're used to seeing outside of dusty Manchester farmland. Speaking of visible hair, the cover of their new album (Where Were You When It Happened?, pictured at right) is what you might call "pubey." Or perhaps "dicktastic," if you have three dicks and one of them plays bass. Anyway, Monotonix play Oct. 17 for the low price of $12, and those tickets are on sale now. Oh, and it will probably be insane.
A week before the Monotonix, Dan Deacon brings his twacky cat skills and electronic hoo-ha (or, if you prefer, "jungle-trance-hip-hop fuckin' shit music") to town. Tickets for the Oct. 5 show are also on sale, for a mere $8 and include a date with Nuclear Power Pants in the deal.
What's more, the venerable (and I do not use that term lightly) venue keeps promising on the twitters that they've got a big show to announce soon, so stay tuned.
