Let us continue our mourning with yet another night of raucous rocking. Saturday:
Those Darlins Record Release Party feat. The Black Lips at Mercy Lounge. Read Maloney's awesome feature. It's a pretty endearing take on what it's like to watch a band you know go from adorable buds to nationally sought-after adorable buds.
Shoot the Mountain, The Tits & Kintaro at The Groove. This one's free, but it starts at 6 p.m. Get there on time.
House Show at 314 Scott Street. This shit is Weird City, so I'm just going to copy and paste it exactly as it was sent to me: "Join the Celebration of Light, Drink the Red and Purple Drinks, Enjoy the Entertainment, and Most Importantly, Enter the 4th Dimension! DJ Ghost Dogg at some place called Hebroots. Props to Maloney for putting a new jump-off on our radar.
And if you need a bit of mirth to take the week's dark happenings off your mind, Bill Maher's performing at the Ryman. Oh wait, "mirth" in no way describes Maher's material.
