If you are one of many Middle Tennesseans who was too distraught over the death of Michael Jackson to attend last night's Candlebox concert at Club 527 in Murfreesboro, don't fret. Judging by their calendar of upcoming events, you'll have plenty of opportunities to see both the rock and hip-hop of days past in the days to come.
Do you drive a truck with no doors and really big wheels? Then check out either the Saliva or Days of the New--yes, they're still around--shows. Do you like Public Enemy but are turned off by all the pesky politics? Flavor Flav will be appearing solo on July 18. Of course, don't forget about Tone Loc, Humpty Hump or Coolio. They'll be playing there as well. More of a hair metal fan? Then you'll be thrilled to know that Faster Pussycat and The Bullet Boys will be playing ON THE SAME BILL. You can also re-live old times with L.A. Guns or take your chances with Great White. Also, The Whigs will be playing there on July 24.

F.Y.I. - Some band called GLOSSARY is opening for The Whigs on the 24th. That might be sorta cool....maybe???
Wow! That's a lot of bands and rappers I had no idea still existed/performed. Be real careful at that Great White show y'all. The fire exits are your friends.
Holy crap! I thought some of the Great White guys died in the fire a few years back. Still truckin though apparently
Hearn, 22 year-old hired gun guitarist Ty Longely was killed in the fire when he went back into the club to retrieve his guitar. The rest of the band members went unscathed. Their tour manager was sent up the river for a few years.
