Michael Jackson Dead at 50

According to TMZ: "Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back."

[UPDATE] (5:11 p.m.): The Cream has confirmed that the news is in fact true via a phonecall with a member of Michael Jackson's camp.

LA Times and CBS both confirm that doctors have pronounced Jackson dead. Not to mention the Cream's extremely reliable source. CNN are a bunch of bitches.

With all the coverage of our local scene 20 years ago, I thought everyone should know that former local musician Tim Krekel passed away as well from complications from surgery for cancer. Tim Krekel and the Sluggers were a staple in local clubs back in the '80s, along with Jason & The Scorchers.
