National Skyline Michael Jackson Dead at 50

According to TMZ: "Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back."
[UPDATE] (5:11 p.m.): The Cream has confirmed that the news is in fact true via a phonecall with a member of Michael Jackson's camp.

It's slowly trickling in via various sources. I'm guessing it will be official within half an hour or so.

LA Times and CBS both confirm that doctors have pronounced Jackson dead. Not to mention the Cream's extremely reliable source. CNN are a bunch of bitches.

With all the coverage of our local scene 20 years ago, I thought everyone should know that former local musician Tim Krekel passed away as well from complications from surgery for cancer. Tim Krekel and the Sluggers were a staple in local clubs back in the '80s, along with Jason & The Scorchers.
Apparently this is what it takes to get MTV to play videos again... this after Jackson broke the color barrier at MTV 25 years ago.
So the story is cardiac arrest, huh? Sounds familiar. Was he found slumped over on the floor after falling off the toilet? Maybe we should wait on the toxicology report.
I heard he had an addictiong to eating lead paint "off the wall." That would explain the insanity, I suppose.
The Magic Wands are heartbroken over this news. Michael was the original "Black Magic"....
His doctor was a proud graduate of Meharry Medical College....you know, the University of Phoenix equilivent of a medical program.
