It's just KoL day here on the blog, no? As was mentioned in this here comment thread, Kings of Leon are gearing up to launch a label imprint--strictly a trademark/brand, not an autonomous company--via Bug Music. Their first release? The Features' Some Kind of Salvation. From Kings of Leon's website:
The inventive new label venture is the culmination of a creative new deal Bug Music and Kings Of Leon entered into the fall of 2008. The terms of that agreement allow the Kings Of Leon to sign and develop artists with Bug Music, in the spirit of discovering dynamic artists that are committed as a band and writing extraordinary music. The first artist signed is fellow Tennessee brethren The Features, a band with a decade of songs and touring. Longtime supporter of The Features, Kings Of Leon previously toured the UK and US with the band in 2007.
And as our helpful commenter pointed out, around here we all have "raging e-boners" for The Features. Thusly, this bit of news just might send our decade-long priapism right over the edge. Even though the Kings are always "absorbing new sounds from all over the world," they selected a totally deserving local act. Good lookin' out, KoL.

Try 15 years. If all were right in the world this arrangement would be the other way around.
i will freely admit that i have a raging e-boner [well, something like that, whatever] for The Features. while i'm not a big Kings Of Leon fan [wait, is that blasphemy? i do like them, i swear!] i'm rather pleased with this news. although i do agree with steve, for sure.
while we're on the subject, i would like to shamelessly self-promote the nice little amateur video that i shot of our boys at bonnaroo. lions and me and the skirts.
They should sign these guys:
