Get it, girl.
Anyone else have a substantial Björk phase in college? Now I won't lie: I form celebrity/musician/artist crushes relatively easily. But my love for Björk is pure, and my love for Björk is true.
Voltaic: The Volta Tour Live in Paris and Reykjavik is playing just once at The Belcourt--tonight at 7:30--and while seeing
Patty-Ho at Mercy or
Darth Vedder at the Ryman are both viable options,
Voltaic (71 minutes) will likely let out early enough to leave your evening open. From
Adam Gold's Critic's Pick:
Featuring footage taken from shows in Paris and Reykjavik--during her tour in support of 2007's acclaimed release Volta--the concert film Voltaic strives to put the viewer straight into the concert hall, documenting a high-energy show that features some of the finest names in contemporary electronic music, the enigmatic singer's 10-piece brass section and a career-spanning set list with standouts including "Army of Me," "Hyperballad," "Hunter" and "Joga."
Fingers crossed I get out of work in time to catch it. I would totally let
Björk punch me in the face.
