Cream Bonnaroo, Dead Weather, CMA Fest: Newsy Bits

* Chromewaves reviews The Dead Weather's kinda secret but not really show at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, one of several small-venue warm-ups for the band's big ol' tour that kicks off later this month. "In White and Mosshart, The Dead Weather have in their ranks two of the most charismatic frontpersons in rock, and put together on a stage as small as the Horseshoe's in front of an audience as pent up with excitement as this one, the result was combustible." * The White Stripes made a movie. (P4K.)
* The good people at Superfly Presents and A.C. Entertainment "are proud to announce that the 2009 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival has completed another fantastic weekend that was just shy of a sellout." According to the release, this year's festival drew almost 80,000 people.
* CMA Fest also did well, with average nightly attendance up about 4,000 Sunbody Kenny hats over last year.
