Cream Calendar And Your Bird Can Sing: Andrew Bird at Grimey's June 13, Others As Well

If you aren't able to catch A. Bird at Bonnaroo June 14, here's your chance to see him in a most intimate setting--which, I would guess, is the best way to see him. He's playing an in-store at Grimey's at 1 p.m., June 13. That video up there of Bird being wistfully charming and playing "Measuring Cups" was filmed May 23 in Madrid. You might remember that our homegirl Cortney Tidwell played a handful of European dates with Bird (though not this one in Madrid); you might also be aware that at least one of C-Tid's band members works at Grimey's. Coincidence? Possibly. Bird also recorded some of his latest album, Noble Beast, at the Beech House here in Nashville, so the dude's got Music City ties. Yet another candidate for my "Dude, you should move here!" campaign.
