Cream We Own This Town at Mercy Lounge, Newsy Bits

* Nashville music blog We Own This Town kicks off We Own This Town Tuesdays at Mercy Lounge tonight with performances by The Comfies, Codaphonic and This Modern Station. The show is free, which is a good thing for shows to be. Are you?

* Nashville music blog Out the Other's herculean

Bonnaroo 2009 preview project rolls along, with a little help from her friends. If I'm not mistaken, that's 26 down, lots more to go go go.

* Speaking of Bonnaroo, the festival will donate $240,000 to non-profit groups in New Orleans, according to a press release sent today. Recipients include the New Orleans Habitat Musicians' Village/Ellis Marsalis Center for Music, New Orleans Musicians Clinic and New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts.
