Anvil! The Story of Anvil is screening at The Belcourt with a performance from Anvil themselves. Totally awesome...except tickets are sold out. I snoozed and lost. D:
Chris Crofton and the Alcohol Stuntband CD Release feat. Take the Power Back & Bad Friend at The Basement. And there's the in-store at Grimey's at 6 p.m. Our caption contest winners have been selected, by the way.
The Long Players perform Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run at Mercy Lounge. Just try and keep Gold away from this one.
Marcy Playground w/We Were the States, Oso Closo & Derick Stroker at 527 Main Street (or whatever the hell) in Murfreesboro. Read my argument for why it's OK that Marcy Playground exists.
The Branded Sons w/Ricky Young, Red White Blue & Chris Nathan at 12th & Porter.
And Sunday at Red Door East, the 8th Annual British Motorcycle Show will be going down. All sorts of manly, badass revving and riding with musical performances from Luke and the Latenights, Hans Condor, Les Honky More Tonkies & more. 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
