Cream Calendar Weekend Round-Up: CrawHost Style Part 1

Should be a pretty good weekend. And now that the Merrell Crawfish Boil has relocated to LP Field from Riverfront Park, the likelihood of a Host-like Crawfish Monster rising from the Cumberland and exacting its revenge on hundreds of unsuspecting Gavin Rossdale fans is greatly diminished. Here's some of Friday evening's finest events:
Dent May and His Magnificent Ukulele w/KinderCastle & The Winter Sounds at Mercy Lounge. Dent May is also doing an in-store over at Grimey's at 6 p.m. Oh, and Aaron Hartley of Theory 8 sent us the following track from openers The Winter Sounds. It's totally lilting:
GWAR w/Priestess & Cattle Decapitation at Exit/In. Do corn syrup and red food coloring stain permanently? Here's GWAR on Jerry Springer a couple of years ago.
And the Relatives w/Ocelots & Chrome Robes at The 5 Spot. Free ATR CD with entry. Just sayin'.
It's the first night of the Merrell Crawfish Boil, feat. The Offspring, Candlebox, Flyleaf, Soulja Boy and some other state fair-quality stuff at LP Field. Go for the crawfish, stay for the "rawk."
Naked Without Us feat. Kingbilly, The Worsties and Jensen Sportag at 12th & Porter.
There's a Chris Volpe CD Release at The Basement, and Jonell Mosser is also droppin' her album over at 3rd & Lindsley. Not a bad selection you've got there. Let us know what we missed. Back tomorrow.
