Back in April, Admiral Steve Haruch brought you word of two 7-inch splits from JEFF the Bro'hood and their cohorts. Since then, I've had the chance to "rip" both splits to my "computer" and listen to them "digitally" while "working." The release for the JEFF/Sisters and JEFF/Screaming Females splits was last month, but tomorrow evening New Jersey's Screaming Females will be joining the brothers Orrall at The End for their first show in Nashville since the split debuted.

"I Do," the Females' track from the split, is an enjoyable and unpretentious two-minute punk tune that features the lyric "I dig on calculus" as well as an ominous psychedelic outro that is perhaps slightly more pretentious than the rest of the song. JEFF's "Bone Jam" is Side A, and it contains possibly the stickiest vocal hook I've heard all week. You can buy the split here. Unfortunately, this show coincides with The Tits' CD Release at The Basement, so I guess you'll just have to decide whether you'd rather see some Tits or go Bone Jamming. Tough call. Watch Screaming Females' video for "Bell" below. It's quite good.

Update: Read the live review of the show here.
