Wait Just a Doggone Minute, America: 'The Temporary Blues' Is What We Have!

Why isn't "The Temporary Blues" America's current theme song? It serendipitously queued up in my playlist, and I was struck by its anthemic topicality. Just imagine: It could play after every CNN piece on the economy! It's depressing and populist, but ultimately hopeful! These blues are, after all, just temporary! And doesn't America need Some Kind of Salvation right about now? The Features could perform it on Colbert! OK, that's unlikely! Still, someone should get on this. I suggest bloggers.

Well...since we're trying to fix our economic woes with a bailout (the hint that there's a problem should be the use of the word "bailout") and extensions of the policies and habits that got us into this fine American mess, I think "Gates of Hell" will do nicely...
