The Non-Commissioned Officers have been honored at this year's Nashville Film Festival, taking home the jury award for Best Music In a Feature Film for their soundtrack work on Make-out With Violence. What's more, the Non-Comms will be representing on Out the Other tonight on 91.1 FM, then playing their album release show this Thursday at Mercy Lounge. (Thursday's show is free with a Make-out With Violence ticket stub or Nashville Film Festival badge.) Check Pith in the Wind for more on MOWV--which swept the jury awards and made a fan of NPR and former New York Times critic Elvis Mitchell--along with a complete list of NaFF jury winners.
