Just days after he and his "cosmic cowboy" outfit The Boxmasters were booed off stage in Toronto following an awkward Canadian radio interview in which he--among other strange and dickish comments--compared audiences of the Great White North to mashed potatoes sans gravy, Billy Bob Thornton & Co. have canceled the remaining Canadian dates on a tour supporting Willie Nelson "due to one band member and several of the crew having the flu." Talk about a convenient affliction. This begs the question, would Tom Petty cancel a string of Canadian concerts due to illness? Thornton has since issued an apology for his remarks; however, the damage appears to have been done. The Boxmasters plan to rejoin the tour tomorrow night when it returns to American soil in Stamford, Conn. There the band can go back to comfort of audiences merely "throwing things" at them instead of booing.

Please be kind....as a Canadian I find your lack of compassion for Billy-Bob unacceptable!
It is obvious...he is either suffering from a newly contracted case of the Avian (Chicken)flu, or the Swine flu that he has been suffering from for years has re-surfaced.
Luckily, the talent travelling with him are not infected.
BB...why would you insult your host and Canadian audience? Surely you must have know that Canadians have a massive music legacy from L. Cohen, S. Twain, B. Adams, C. Dion, G. Lightfoot, N. Young, K.D. Lang, J. Mitchell, The Band, The Guess Who .....the list goes on an on regarding the great musical talents from Canada. Moreover, the interviewer, Jian, is far more musician(Moxy Fruvous) than you will ever be. Get some humble fast.
