If you've been thinking, "Hey, what Nashville really needs is fewer all-ages venues and tributes to legendary musicians," then you might get your wish. It looks like Rocketown and the Musicians Hall of Fame could both get bulldozed to make way for that spiffy new convention center we've all been hearing so much about.
Sure, Cream readers have said a few things--some good, some less than cheery--about ol' Rocketown. But what if it was gone? Would that make you happy? Well, would it?

I hope that $10 million set aside for business relocation includes plans for the Musicians' Hall of Fame. It's a great spot, and although they seem to have had problems generating revenue over the years, it would be a shame to lose it.
I would highly recommend a visit to anyone who hasn't been. If you love pop music, this is the place for you. Seeing Hal Blaine's drumkit was worth the price of admission for me.
honestly, if they can get a straight shot from Koreans War Vet Bridge to 8th, I'm for tearing down the Ryman
MHOF is pretty cool. Perhaps a new location might increase its profile.
I hope Rocketown can find a good new location. I may not agree with their politics but there's a need for what they do, and that is provide a place for teenage kids to hang out without their parents worrying about them doing stuff that teenage kids don't need to be doing. From what I can tell they don't cram the religion and conservatism down the kids' throats, they just provide a safe place for them to skate, see bands, and have fun away from their parents.
