OK, so I don't actually check the weather. Mostly Tin Pan South stuff going on tonight, but here's a light dusting of other happenings:

Update:

I knew I forgot something. Zeitgeist tonight at USN feat. How I Became the Bomb, Darla Farmer, Pineapple Explode, Gnarwhal, Biscuits and Gravy & many, many more. That's a good one. Thanks to Lance for the reminder.

Dirty Eye Night feat. The Mattoid, The Tits, Sam Stewart & Love Hog at The End. Dirty Eye Night. Wonder if that's supposed to mean what it sounds like it means. Here's what Gold thinks of The Mattoid.

Dean Bratcher's Bachelor Party Benefit/Doug Lehmann's Birthday Bash feat. The Carter Administration, Powerload & Chris Crofton at The 5 Spot. Now there's a cause I can get behind. Finally, a benefit for something truly important, you know?

FRACKO feat. Marco Giovino, Frank Swart and the Scene's very own Jack Silverman at Family Wash. You wanna see some cats with some serious chops, this is the place.

Nappy Roots W/Biscuits and Gravy & DJ Wick-It at Exit/In.

There's Tin Pan South stuff all over the place, so go here to check it out. According to Mercy Lounge's site, suave baller extraordinaire Michael McDonald will be headlining there tonight. It is in honor of this event that I have embedded the following video of McDonald playing "Yah Mo B There" with James Ingram in Japan in 1992. Awesome. Let us know what we missed!

You guys forgot Zeitgeist at USN tonight:
Darla Farmer
How I Became the Bomb
Biscuits & Gravy
Dose Cashville Men
Pineapple Explode
The Vespers
Rakuhn
Ave Marling
Marion Siman & Hannah Burney
Justin Karpinos feat. Richard Swor
How Cozy!
Gnarwhal
Pogue Mahones
Blue Cadet Three
Dane Van Eys & Josh Halper
Las Breakfast
Toxic Harmony
I don't recognize 90% of those bands, but it's $7 at University School of Nashville (right off 21st across the street from Vanderbilt), starts at 6:00 and goes til 11:00 PM. You can see a schedule of bands and stages (they have stages now? I remember seeing Breakdown in 2002 and they just had the one) at their MySpace page:

The Mattoid with The TITS will be at the End, repeat... The End.
Not The Basement, or Exit/In.
The End.

it looks like you list them at the basement, the correction comment above says the end, and gold's dribble says exit/in....where the hell are they playing guys?

Corrected. Sorry about the confusion, Sweet Davey. I had a long, long night. Still paying for it, apparently.
