Hey, styles don't just grow on trees, you know. Next week I'll Photoshop something crazy. Anything you want. Until then, we're keeping it simple. Knock Knock. Who's there? Some shows:

Ghostland Observatory w/Club Sportag at Cannery Ballroom. Hope you're ready for some tightly panted, mish-mash, hipster laser explosions. There's an official Happy Valley after-party upstairs at the Lounge that will only cost you $5 and your fucking soul. Just kidding. Let's do some shots!

Hammertorch w/Slithering Beast at The 5 Spot. That sounds like the most metal show of all time. I really hope some heshers show up and get an unexpected faceful of pedal steel.

Butch Walker w/Ponderosa at Exit/In. Walker has produced records for Pink, Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne and Lindsay Lohan, and he knows Flea. These are things I gleaned from Chris Parker's Critic's Pick.

Breezefest feat. The Aeronauts, Mother Whale Eyeless, Schroeder's Revenge & Stoney Creek Ramblers at Springwater. What's a Breezefest?

Little Hamilton's MySpace says Lautrec, Antilles, Sanctions & Karoshi will be playing there tonight. That's a whole lot of European electronica. Feel free to correct us if that lineup is no longer accurate.

Anthony Wilson is also performing at the Nashville Jazz Workshop, and Born Empty is playing with a reunited Popular Genius and something called Hammer No More the Fingers at The End. So that's what's up. I won't lie: Tomorrow evening looks a bit more promising than tonight. But that doesn't mean you can't still wake up wearing someone else's skinny jeans. We'll be back tomorrow with more freshness.

For next week or tomorrow or whenever, I want that photo of Gold's head (the happy one with mouth agape) in the middle of a sun, shining down on the Nashville skyline.

Consider it done. Maybe not for tomorrow, but by next Friday at the latest.

How about Gold's head in between Bono and Springsteen jacking off while Dave Matthews cries in the corner?

if their november show is any indication, hipster may be in short supply at Ghostland. most of those folks looked like they were probably pumping Jason Mraz on the way over.

@even better?: Definitely making that one for the personal file.
@casio: Yes, this is what I heard. But the fedora set shows up without fail for Happy Valley, yes? I'm wondering exactly how the Mraz-heads came to be Ghostland fans.

Mother Whale Eyeless
Is that an Eno reference?

Hmmm... maybe I'll ask quiz the Mraz-heads tonight. I'm going to need something to distract me from destroying what's left of my liver anyway, and I'm not sure bunches of bright lights will do the trick.

Breezefest is a birthday bash for a guy named Bad Boy Breeze... not a fest. But it was fun, it was a seamless transition between older hillbillies to gutter-punk kids.
