A few news items for your afternoon.

* Pop fans rejoice! Glasgow's Camera Obscura (that's them in the pikcher) play Mercy Lounge May 27. Tickets, you say? Those will be $14 in advance, $16 day of, and available here starting Friday at 10 a.m.

* Nashville music biz blogger Glenn Peoples, a.k.a. Coolfer, is, as of this past Monday, Senior Editorial Analyst at Billboard Magazine. Look for his daily columns over at billboard.biz, and for longer stuff in the print version. Read more from the man himself.

* Paper Route, on top of being from Nashville and, unbelievably, using electronical elements in their music, have a new album on the way. It's called Absence and will be present in the future (April 28). Meanwhile, you can download the song "Carousel" over at Snob's Music.

* Matthew Ryan is pissed off about the economy, so he's going to let you get mad, too. All you have to do is download his song "Shook Down" over at The Dead Satellites MySpace.

* New Glossary album, Feral Fire, on the way. Maybe for free? More at WOTT.
