Cream Calendar Metallica to Play Nashville Sept. 14

Horns up, dudes.

According to their MySpace page (which, to my joy and delight, auto-played "Fight Fire With Fire" when I opened it), Metallica will start their Fall '09 U.S. tour in Nashville. Tickets for the Sept. 14 show at the Sommet Center go on sale April 4.

D.P.R.'s response to the news this morning: "Eh, it's not The Basement." Maybe they'll do a Grimey's in-store? Those of you disappointed that Tracy didn't get into the band's SXSW show can watch a video of them playing "Blackened" in Austin over at, uh, Metal Injection.

I'm suddenly having flashbacks of being 12 years old and watching barely-discernable VHS bootlegs of Metallica shows in my friend's living room. Good times.
