As you read earlier today, Middle Tennessee's flagship band, The Features, are on the fast track to playing Middle Tennessee's flagship festival, Bonnaroo. Last night, within hours of the band hitting the Mercy Lounge stage for the win, a Facebook post made the viral rounds, dropping a link to an archived version of the famed Features message board of days past. For seven years the board, totaling out at 72,187 posts, was the local rock scene's Internet kiosk. Someone out there, going by the name of Archivist, has re-upped the message board in painstaking detail--complete with a timeline, search index, blog, statistics and even top 25 lists (including top 25 topic killers). So all you Internet geeks, lurkers, gawkers, stalkers, spammers and noobs check out the fmb archive for some information super-highway nostalgia, just don't forget to come back to the Cream when you're done. LOLZ.

i didn't have my own computer until recently [maybe that's why i'm on my 6th year of college?] so i was never a message board member. but i've been a fan since i first heard "radio one" on the spongebath samplers, many years ago. so this news is pretty much the most exciting thing i've encountered in about 26 hours [the band's mini-set last night was damned sweet, for sure.]
