With Steve on vacation (though he'll still be "blogging from beyond the grave") and Tracy heading off to SXSW, it sure is getting lonely around these parts. All I'll have to keep me from going mad with loneliness is the charming prattle emerging from the neighboring cubicle, as Gold waxes poetic about drums and Springsteen, Springsteen and drums. Some stuff is happening tonight:
* The B "P" B look-alike contest Steve told you all about.
* For A) folks heading to SXSW who want one last Nashville hoorah before hitting the road or B) people who can't make it and are looking to have "South by" references waved in their faces, there's an "Austin Send-Off" 8 off 8th at Mercy tonight featuring Jacob Jones and the Shelby Street Revival, The Wickersham Brothers, Mark McMinn, Chanel Campbell, Caitlin Rose, Heypenny, Mike's Pawn Shop, Corazon & The Shackletons. Yes, I know that adds up to nine bands.
* Hex Machine and The Admirals Club are playing The End. Sullivan says those two bands are "cut from the same Jesus Lizard-loving cloth." God, I want to make a robe from that cloth.
* Rachel Yamagata's playing Exit/In.
* And if you still haven't heard it, our buddies over at We Own This Town recently posted a new podcast. Stream, fools!

Don't forget, two Dischord acts, Medications & Edie Sedgwick are playing at the Springwater tonight with Ocelots opening. This is gonna be good stuff.
Oh, wait. You posted that the Hex Machine/Admirals Club show was at Springwater. I think that's at the End.
